Reconice and mountaineering: a perfect match

What ties a technology company like reconice to an ancient and "physical" discipline like mountaineering? Much more than you might think.

On October 23, 2025, the film "Madre Roccia" (Mother Rock) was screened at the "Argentia" cinema theater in Gorgonzola. This documentary focuses on the opening of the new mountaineering route on the south face of the Marmolada, one of the most beautiful mountains in the Dolomites. All four climbers were present at the screening: Matteo Della Bordella, Maurizio Giordani, Max Faletti, and Iris Bielli.

The event was sponsored by reconice and reaffirmed our company's commitment to actively promoting a work-life balance policy and disseminating environmental protection initiatives and the values of healthy sporting activity, in accordance with our code of ethics.

Before the screening, we met with the four climbers, listened as they recounted their experience on the Marmolada and explained the spirit with which they approach mountaineering every day.

In their words, we found a complete convergence of views with the way we understand and interpret our business. Specifically, for each of them, we offer a quote that we found illuminating and with which we completely identified.

1. "When someone believes in you, you achieve much more."
This statement from Iris Bielli, a very young mountaineer (she's only 21 years old), resonated with us, because it's something we experience every day, with our clients and partners: their trust is our strength, it gives us all the energy we need to face each new challenge with ever greater enthusiasm and awareness.

2. "Respect for where you go, how you do it, how you behave."
When he expressed this concept, mountain guide Max Faletti was talking about how he approaches the mountains and interprets his profession, transmitting these same values to the people he accompanies on excursions. He couldn't have said it better, also to describe the way Reconice approaches the world of hospital care every day: a world in which one must move with great care, sensitivity, and respect, because people's health and lives are at stake.

3. "In mountaineering, experience and intelligence are extremely important, much more than physical performance."
We completely agree with Maurizio Giordani, an extraordinarily experienced mountaineer: when moving on such delicate terrain, even more important than power (athletic or technological) is the ability to assess, a deep understanding of the context, and the expertise that leads to relying on the safest solutions, without resorting to improvisation.

4. "We complemented each other."
We were struck by the humility of this phrase, uttered by one of the most celebrated active mountaineers, Matteo Della Bordella. These five words encapsulate the true strength of our solutions, which are designed and engineered to integrate seamlessly with the healthcare technology developed by our partners. We and our partners complement each other, for the success of every project.

Perhaps now it's clearer why Reconice, attentive to the needs of the community to which it belongs, is committed to supporting initiatives that promote disciplines like mountaineering, which have not only sporting goals but also ethical, social, environmental, and educational ones. In the words of our CEO, Marco Biraghi:

"This documentary shows how the authentic spirit of mountaineering—comprised of passion, humility, and continuous research—leads to conceiving the mountains as a metaphor for life. Each climb represents a journey of commitment, mutual trust, dedication, and perseverance. Each summit is not a point of arrival, but a new starting point. The protagonists have shown how the mountains teach us to face difficulties with humility, to find a balance between ambition and respect, and to value the journey even more than the destination."
